Can I choose when my meals are delivered?

We place great importance on the freshness of our meals. That’s why we work with fixed delivery days: Meals for Monday and Tuesday are delivered on Monday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Meals for Wednesday and Thursday are delivered on Wednesday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Meals for Friday, Saturday and Sunday are delivered on Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

How are my meals delivered?

The meals are delivered chilled to your workplace. If you place them in the fridge right away, they will keep for up to 5 days. Would you like to store them longer? Then you can freeze them, just keep in mind that this may slightly affect the taste.

Can I change the delivery address?

Yes, you can change the delivery address up to 24 hours before the delivery time. Please note that the new delivery address must be registered with KCHEFT to maintain our low prices and freshness. If the company at your new address is not registered with KCHEFT, please send us an email so we can discuss the possibilities.

What do the letters after the name of the dish mean?

The letters after the name of the dish indicate the main allergens present in the meal. A = cereals containing gluten, B = crustaceans, C = eggs, D = fish, E = peanuts, F = soybeans, G = milk/lactose, H = nuts, L = celery, M = mustard, N = sesame seeds, O = sulphur dioxide/sulphites, P = lupins, R = molluscs.

Can I also pay by debit card or cash?

No, this is not possible. You can either pay directly online, or, if an agreement has been made between kCheft and your employer, via an invoice sent to your employer.

I have a big appetite — can I order larger meals as well?

We hear from almost everyone that our 450 gram meals are more than enough for one person. If you’d still prefer a larger portion, let us know, and if there’s a high demand for bigger portions in the future, we’ll make sure to inform you as soon as possible!

Can I cancel or pause my order?

Yes, you can. Simply let us know by email which days you do not wish to receive meals, and we’ll take care of it for you.

I have guests coming and would like to order extra meals. Is that possible?

Yes, that’s possible. You can order as much as you like, while stocks last.

Can I order vegetarian meals?

Every week, we offer at least 7 vegetarian meals on the menu. There are also at least 4 meals with fish, so there’s something for everyone to choose from!

Which dietary requirements do the meals accommodate?

It’s difficult to specify for our entire range which dietary preferences (such as vegan, halal, or lactose-free) we can meet. For each meal, you can see which ingredients (excluding the herbs and spices used) are included and which allergens are present (See also the answer to the question: What do the letters after the name of the dish mean?). Even though we take great care to keep everything properly separated, there is always a small risk of cross-contamination.

I have an allergy — can I still order from you?

Yes, it is possible. We understand that dealing with an allergy is already inconvenient enough. For each meal, you can see which ingredients (excluding the herbs and spices used) are included and which allergens are present (see also the answer to the question: What do the letters after the name of the dish mean?). Even though we take great care to keep everything properly separated, there is always a small risk of cross-contamination.

Why can’t I order as an individual customer?

KCHEFT was founded to support all seasonal workers who make it possible for people to enjoy their vacations. To keep prices as low as possible for you, we need to deliver as efficiently as we can. And to ensure the meals are available exclusively for seasonal workers, deliveries can only be made to your employer.

Do you offer subscriptions?

We work as much as possible on a subscription basis. We know that during the season you’re often very busy and may forget to place an order. With a subscription, we can make sure you still receive your meals on time. Feel free to contact us by email or through your employer to discuss the options.

Where can I find my orders?

Each month, you’ll receive an email summary of your orders from us. If you have any questions about your orders in the meantime, feel free to contact us easily via email or WhatsApp.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

Yes, there is a minimum order of 2 meals per delivery.

How do I prepare the meals?

This meal can be heated in the microwave. Heat the meal in the microwave for 4 minutes at 1000 watts. Place the meal in its container in the microwave and pierce the film several times. After heating, let the meal stand for at least 1 minute before eating. Always check that the core temperature exceeds 70 °C

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription free of charge after one month. Please inform us at least one week before the order deadline, and we will make sure it is processed.

I have a different employer — can I continue ordering?

Yes, this is possible. Please note that the new delivery address must be registered with KCHEFT to maintain our low prices and freshness. If your new employer is not registered with KCHEFT, please send us an email so we can discuss the options.

What quality standards do your meals meet?

To ensure you enjoy fresh, nutritious, and surprisingly delicious meals, we source all ingredients responsibly from top-quality, trusted origins. We only work with suppliers who share these values. Whenever possible, we prefer to shop locally – and you can taste the difference.

Where do your ingredients come from?

We do our utmost to source as many products as possible from local suppliers. Good news – that’s often achievable (and increasingly so). At the same time, it’s important to keep our meals affordable for you, and our buyers work hard to ensure that. So sometimes, we may need to look outside Austria for certain products or ingredients.

How often does the menu change?

You can choose from 21 dishes every week, and the menu varies weekly. We try to announce the upcoming weeks’ menu at least one week in advance. Wondering if that delicious pasta from last week will come back? Absolutely! Throughout the season, we’ll keep a number of favorites available regularly.

What should I do if I’m not satisfied with the meals, delivery, or anything else?

What are the delivery costs?

Free! Thanks to our delivery method via your employer, we keep delivery costs low – and you feel the benefit straight in your wallet!

There’s been so much snow that our village is inaccessible by road. Will you still deliver?

Unfortunately, we don’t (yet) have a refrigerated snowmobile to reach you during road closures. However, thanks to our close regional contacts, we adapt our approach on short notice and will do our best to deliver the meals as soon as access is possible.
